Christmas 2011

Christmas this year was a lot of fun. We spent Christmas Eve over at my moms house with my side of the family. We love going there. It was so relaxing and fun to just hang out with the family and eat a great meal. Nana got Kami a Elefun and a Tickle Me Elmo. Kam loved both so much. Christmas Day we spent the morning with just our little family. We woke up early and opened all of our presents. Dan got a X Box and some games along with other little things and I got FRIENDS Scene It and decorations for my house. Santa spoiled Kami and brought her lots of new toys. Next we went over to Papa's house to spend some time with them. They gave Kami some darling clothes and fun toys. Later that night we went over to Dans parents house and did Christmas over there. We ate lots of yummy food and played games. It was such a wonderful holiday and so nice to be able to spend it with all of our family.

Catch Up

These last couple months have been a lot of firsts for Kami. We have had a lot of great experiences as a little family and have been having a lot of fun making our own new traditions.

We took Kam to her first U of U football game thanks to our good friends Wes and Emily and had such a good time. She did so good and loved watching all the people...she is her mothers daughter.
Kami has a new love for the Zoo. We went a lot this summer and she loved the animals and loved the Merry-Go-Round.
We had our first experience with a sick little girl and on top of it she had to get her shots at the same time. This is her and Dan at the doctors office. Its one of my favorite pictures cause she just sat on his lap and held his face the whole time. Everyday she is becoming more and more of a daddy's girl.
We went to Oktober Fest this fall with some friends. We ate German food and walked around and mainly just watched all the crazies.
It has always been a tradition to go to Gardner Village with my family and it was fun to take Kami.

6 Months

We had Kami's 6 month appointment today. Our little girl is growing up so fast. She is now 27 inches and 15 pounds. Still a skinny little thing. We love her so much and are loving all the fun new things she is doing. She is now eating solids and loves bread just like her mommy. She loves to sit and talk to Dan when he gets home from work and will always talk over the TV...she wants to make sure that we are only paying attention to her. She is sitting up by herself and will entertain herself with her toys for a long time which makes it a little easier for me to get things done around the house. Kami still loves bath time and could spend hours in water. She gets that from her dad. We cant wait for the holidays and all the fun stuff we will get to do with her. We love Kami so much and could not have been blessed with a better and more perfect little girl. She fits in perfectly with our little family.

We had such a pretty day so some of my girlfriends and I went to Gardner Village with the kids today. We walked around and got to see all the halloween decorations and cute shops there. Gardner Village is one of my favorite places to go during the Fall. I guarantee I go there are least two more times this season. Loved these pictures of Kami. She is getting so big and now is able to sit up by herself.

Utah State Fair

Saturday we went to the State Fair with my family. I look forward to this every year. Last year I was pregnant and so sick so this year I was really excited to go. My favorite part is to sit and watch all the people. Sometimes Dan has to pull me back to reality cause I am staring at someone or listening to someones conversation. We had a lot of fun this year. Dan, my dad and my brother all rode the mechanical bull, and we just walked around and saw all the animals. By the end of the night Kami was exhausted and ready for bed. Next year she will be old enough to run around and play with the animals. I cant wait for next year.

5 Months

Kami will be 5 months next week and I cant believe how much she has grown. We love watching her grow but it makes me sad that she is growing so fast. Here are some things we know about our little girl so far.

*She is in the 50 percentile for her weight and her head but she is off the charts for her height.

*She loves mom and dad and is attached to us which makes me feel great.

*She smiles all the time and has the cutest little laugh.

*She acts all shy and embarrassed when daddy gives her kisses...its so cute.

*She loves her bouncy chair and could sit there for hours just kicking her feet.

*She looks just like mommy with red hair.

*She is starting to eat cereal and seems to love it.

*She loves Mickey Mouse Club House and FRIENDS!!

*She sleeps in her own bed now but still loves to sleep with us each morning which we love.

*She always makes us smile and laugh.

We love her so much and love watching her grow. She completes our life and makes us so happy. Kami is the best baby and I feel so grateful that we have her. She has been such a blessing in our lives and have so much to be thankful for.

St. George

This last weekend we were able to get away for a few days. We went with a few of our good friends Trevor, Kelsey and their cute little girl Molly, and Nate and Amanda. We spent our weekend swimming and lounging around. The boys golfed of course and had just a fun time. We love getting away for a few days and just enjoying the sun.

Daddy Time

Kami loves when her dad comes home from work. She always gets the biggest smile on her face when she sees Dan. He is so great and spends a lot of time playing with her when he gets home. They love to cuddle and watch TV but even more Kami loves bath time. She is a water baby. She sits in the tub and kicks her legs and loves when we pour water on her. It so much fun to watch her splash. Kami is so glad to have a daddy like Dan. He is so sweet with his little girl and she loves him so much.

24th of July

We had such a fun 24th of July. One of my friends came into town for a visit and we got to go to lunch. It was fun to get to see her little man and she finally got to meet our little Kami. Later that night Dan and I decided to go to the Bountiful parade with some of my girl friends and their families. We had such a good time chatting and watching our kids enjoy the parade (well as much as a 3 month old can enjoy a parade).

Another one of our friends had a darling little boy that week and we got to go meet him. We just love him to pieces. Tausha and Jeff made a good baby:) Such a fun weekend with lots of friends

Bed Time

So Kami is such a good baby. I think I can count on one hand how many times I have heard her REALLY cry. She will let me know when she is hungry by making a little noise but that is about it. When it come to bed time she starts our really good. I feed her and then put her in her crib and she will sleep for about 3 hours before she wants to eat agian....but after that there is no going back in that crib. She sure knows how to work her mom. I will put her back in her crib and she will cry and cry. Finally I am so tired that I will get her and put her in bed with Dan and I and she will sleep the rest of the night. If i try to put her back in her crib this process starts all over again. Now I am not one to talk, I slept with my parents till I was 8, but I really don't want that to be Kami. For all you moms out there any advice on how to stop this would be great. I need some sleep!!!

4th of July

We had a family filled 4th of July. Dan was able to get 5 days off so we had a lot of fun. We started out our holiday on Friday swimming with Dans family for our nephew Logans birthday. We had a lot of fun in the sun. Kami loved the water and loved her nap even more. Saturday morning we went to the West Bountiful parade with my family which we do ever year and later that night we had a BBQ and watched some fireworks. My brother and his family came into town for Kami's blessing and we loved seeing them so much.

I was worried that Kami might not like the fireworks with all the loud noises but she loved it and just sat and stared at the sky. She was so good and so happy the whole night. We had a blast and were exhausted by the end of the weekend.

Sunday July 5th Dan blessed our beautiful little girl. It was such a special day for Kami. Dan did such a wonderful job and made me cry of course. She looked so cute. Her dress was very special to me because it was the dress that I was blessed in. After the blessing we got the families together and had a picnic at the park...it was terrible hot but very nice. We are so lucky to have such amazing families that helps and supports us and we love them all so much.

Basketball Champs!

Dan and some of him buddies have been playing in a Basketball league this summer. It has been so much fun to watch. Today was the championship game and they WON!!!! It was such a good and intense game. They had to play two games tonight. The first game was really good and they won by 4 in overtime. The championship game started out a little rough...the guys were pretty tired from the first game and it was 10:00pm. They were down by 10 at half time but that is when the game got good. Sometimes the games turn out to be a blood bath and today was one of those games. Dans good friend Jeff tore his achilles tendon and had to be taken to the hospital and Wes, another buddy, got hit so hard he got a bloody nose and a fat lip. Things were getting pretty rough. They were down by one with about 5 min left when Dan hit a 3 pointer and put them up by 2. Toward the end of the game they were tied and dan got fouled with 3 seconds left and made both shots....Yeah Dan. He played so well along with the rest of his team. We love these guys and cant wait for another season. Congrats Boys!!!

Hoover Love

So since dan and I have been married we have just this small vacuum that does not really work so well. This morning we were cleaning our house and I was getting so frustrated while vacuuming because for the longest time I have felt like our vacuum has not been doing a very good job. I told dan that we needed to go and get a new one....and we did. I now have Hoover Love. I vacuumed with our crappy vacuum this morning and then came home and did it again with the Hoover and this is what it picked up. I know that is gross...don't judge. But as you can see it was the best purchase we have made in a long time.

First Day of Summer

This summer has already been so much fun and full of pool time. We try to get to the Bountiful Rec Center at least once a week if not more. We love to spend the day at the pool with friends and family. Depending on the day Kami either loves the water or hates it. I hope by the end of the summer she will be a water baby:)

2 Months

Kami had her 2 month appointment this week. It is amazing to see how much she has changed. She is now 11 pounds and 25 inches long. Tall and thin just like her daddy. She did so good when she got her shots. She just cried for one second and then was fine. I cried more then she did.

Things we now know about our little girl is she loves play time with daddy when he comes home from work. I cant get her to smile and talk as much as Dan can. She loves to play on the floor and loves to cuddle when she gets tired. She loves to go shopping with mommy. Becoming more and more like her mom everyday!!! She is talking to us a lot and we love it. And finally she LOVES to sleep with us. She is starting to get her own little personality and we love her so much.

This week I also got together with a few of my best friends and we had so much fun just sitting around and chatting. Its fun to get together and have our little ones together. They will all be such cute friends.

Pool Time

This weekend we decided it was finally warm enough to go to the pool. I was so excited to put Kami in her swim suit. She looked so cute. We went with some of our friends to their pool and had so much fun. We wondered how Kami would like the water. She LOVES bath time so I was hoping she would love the pool. She did so good and loved it. She only cried when we would take her out of the water and the wind would hit her. We had a lot of fun with her. Dan, Trevor and Kelsey played basketball and "PIG" which was so funny because Kelsey was making the boys do all sorts of dance moves with the basketball. I wish I had some pictures of that. It was a great day at the pool. Cant wait for many more to come.

Every time we drive anywhere Kami falls asleep 5 min into the drive. Most of the time when I go to get here out this is what I find. I guess the sun is just to bright for her. Maybe we should get her some eye covers.

Memorial Day

We had such a fun Memorial Day filled with lots of family. We spent the night over at Dans parents house and had so much fun hanging out with his parents and some of our nephews. We had an amazing breakfast the next morning that my mother-in-law made. We love breakfast over at Mama Bennett's house.

Later that afternoon we went and saw Kung Fu Panda with my family and had so much fun. That was such a darling movie and I will admit that I did cry a little during the movie. I loved it. After that we went to dinner at the Pizza Factory and decided to call it a day. We were exhausted by that point and so excited to go to bed. I didn't take many pictures but I did get some of Kami and her daddy hanging out and taking a nap.

Kami loves her little friends. Krew and Kami already have plans to be married one day. And we just love Molly to death. We are so lucky to have such good friends. It is so fun to have kids around the same age that can play together. They are so much fun and we love spending time with all of them.

Kamryn Jo Bennett

Kamryn Jo Bennett was born April 16, 2011. She was a week over due and still had no plans of coming to the world. She was just very comfortable where she was. Dan and I went into the hospital on Friday April 15 at 7:00 am thinking we would have a baby that day but that did not happen. We hung out at the hospital all day just waiting and waiting. They would not let me eat as many of you women know so i was starving all day long. We went through the night with no baby and finally at 4:00 pm on April 16 Kami came. I have the best doctor in the world and am so thankful that Dr. Kasteler was there with us the whole time. It was a very long labor but so worth it. We love her so much. She really is just the best baby. I feel so lucky to have her and my wonderful husband. Dan is the best dad and loves to come home from work and play with his little girl. We are lucky ladies to have him. It has been life changing to have her here but I would not have it any other way!!!

California

I know this is really late but Dan and I decided for our first anniversary we would take a trip to California. We did not have the best weather but we still had a blast. We were able to relax and get away from work and school. We had so much fun at Sea World and just enjoyed spending some alone time together...which was nice because soon after we got home I found out were were expecting our little girl!!!

I know that i am not so good at the blog thing but now that I have no work today and nothing to do I thought I would put new pictures up of our wedding. It was such a pretty wedding and I loved every second of it. It was so fun but I am glad that the maddness is over. We had a wonderful but interesting day. Everything went as planned until Dans poor family got sick. I say family because 8 of them were so sick that they had to leave. I think everyone in the family eventually ended up with this nasty flu. Even Dan who was sick the entire plane ride back to Baltimore. It was an amazing day though and I love my pictures.

We moved to Baltimore 2 days after the wedding so that Dan could go back to work. It was really like a 2 month vacation for me. I just got to hang out at home all day while Dan went to work bless his heart. He is a wonderful husband and I am so lucky to be married to such an amazing man. He is truly the best thing in my life and I love him so much.

I have not updated my blog since i got it but i guess now i have some things to blog about. Planning a wedding is fun but a lot more work then i thought it would be. We have done a lot but there is still a lot to do. Dan had to move to baltimore for the summer to work so we have been really busy getting him ready to go. We drove down to Baltimore which was a 31 hour drive...and yes it was quite an experience. We stopped in Tennessee so that I could meet his cute sisters. That was so much fun. It was good to finally meet them. I was so sad to leave Baltimore because I wont see dan until 2 days before the wedding but it was fun to come home and get my engagement pictures back. Summer did an awesome job. I love them. Now it is time to finish planning.

Birthdays

Last week we had a birthday party and a farewell party for some of Dans friends. It was a blast. We all went out to dinner to the Pie and then went back to thier house to have cake and ice cream. Tons of thier friends came over to say goodbye. Dan, Andy, Drew and Wes are all leaving for the summer to do summer sales in Baltimore. We are all sad sad that they are going but it will be fun for them to go.
